Thanks for the info. I have used Keypass variations on Android, Macintosh,
Linux, Windows, Blackberry and Apple iOS over the years. It's very useful
for me to have everywhere I need to enter passwords.
There are 2 versions of the .kdb. Version 2 requires .NET/Mono. Version 1
is more portable so that's what I use.
You can export the version 1 db to text or XML and import it again. I've
used that to merge different dbs together (when my Mom passed away I had
her .kdb for all her accounts).
I'd see what version of the .kdb the Chrome version uses 1st and switch to
that if possible. Failing that, you can export and switch to another
tool. Personally, I'd consider a read only copy for Chrome IFF I trusted
the new tool and use keypass everywhere else. I don't trust Lastpass (

myself but YMMV.
