Fancy high-end USB 1.1 external sound card for laptops, from 2002. With lots of different I/Os, including MIDI. First-generation USB audio device, AFAIK; and, if I remember correctly, it's from around the time when Creative decided that they were going to cooperate with open source developers.

Optimistically: it's exactly what you're asking for. ☺

Though, like I said, I never got into MIDI devices and so never used that functionality. It may Just Work and give Evan the keyboard<->computer interface he wants, or not.

On the up side, my asking price is zero thalers + you stop by my house to pick it up. 😉
