Need some suggestions on a borked upgrade

The -f flag tells apt to try and fix errors.

I run Debian. Sometimes either "apt-get -f install" works.  Also,  running
"dpkg --configure -a" (which tells dpkg to try & configure all the
partially installed packages) will unbork it.  Without seeing the exact
error,  I also can't give you better advice.
