Satellite Internet relative security

Greetings,

Is there any reason why a satellite Internet connection would be more
secure than cable? (Internet-only service. No TV and cable networks.) WiFi
is a no-no, of course.

Is satellite traffic more likely to be scrutinized by governments?
Although the satellites are commercial, does the FCC have more to say about
their spectrum than that of the cable point-to-point microwave links?

Does Linux have any special problems interfacing with the dish equipment?
Is a standard Ethernet connection enough, or must they install software on
the Linux computer?

Does physically disconnecting the Ethernet eliminate bot exploration of
the firewall when the Internet is not needed?

    Advice and insights are welcome.
