Degree Controls, is a full service supplier of custom thermal solutions
for the telecommunications market and medical application located in
Milford, NH. Today we are a leading manufacture and worldwide
distributor of intelligent thermal analysis system testing & evaluation,
and custom heat sinks for modern communication products. We provide a
worldwide sales and service network with international operations.
Summary:
Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions
or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or
from remote location. Provides assistance concerning the use of computer
hardware and software, including printing, installation, word
processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. The ideal candidate
should be highly motivated, possess excellent verbal & written
communications skills, and have a thorough understanding of operational
practices required to ensure systems remain consistent and supportable.
This is a temporary part-time position at 20 hours per week.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Will help manage and support both Linux/Windows 2000/XP/2003 servers
and workstations including installations and upgrades.
· Will help manage and support infrastructure for network, E-mail,
telephone and voicemail setup.
· Maintain/Monitor systems within the environment to ensure optimal
performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and to
meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
· Maintain hardware infrastructure related to all IT needs of the company.
· Part time phone support for technical IT issues.
· Development, documentation and maintenance of scripts for automating
above procedures
Requirements:
· Experience migrating/administering Microsoft environments like XP,
2000, NT 4.0, and Linux, servers and systems.
· Experience in integrating heterogeneous mail services/systems.
· Good understanding of operational practices and requirements to
operate a high availability and secure environment.
· Excellent problem solving and communication skills, along with the
ability to work both independently, and as part of a cross-
· functional team.
· Working experience with Linux operating system.
· Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure.
· Working knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, Excel,
Project, Word, Visio and supporting users and applications in a small
network environment.

Education:
· Certification in Computer Technology or equivalent experience.
· 2+ years of experience with IT support in a NT/Win2k network environment.
· MCSE certification a plus.
