Please take a look at this job description.  Can start out as a
contractor (6-months) and then go permanent.  Hourly contract rate is
very good.  Salary package is in mid-90'sK.
 
Job Description:

SUMMARY: 

Create a strong support structure to maintain MICROSOFT/LINUX
environments. Identify and implement system and application enhancements
to prevent outages, with a goal of 100% uptime. Responsible for
installation and configuration of all servers and for on-going
activities related to maintaining the machines and operating systems in
support of the production, software development environment, and quality
assurance environments. Support new customer implementation, conversions
and product enhancement projects. Share 24x7 on call responsibility and
off-hour support with MICROSOFT/LINUX Administrators as well as being
available for all staff. Act quickly and decisively with regards to any
escalated challenges the teams may have. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Performance & Tuning of existing Enterprise & Departmental Size HP
Proliant/Blade and Dell Servers. Monitor and administer all
MICROSOFT/LINUX servers and process accordingly. Establish Production,
Quality Assurance, and Research and Development environments based on
MICROSOFT/LINUX best practices. Improve existing processes within the
MICROSOFT/LINUX environment. Document, update, and track all work done
using the Remedy System (work tickets). Escalate issues to management as
needed. Work with the team to solve problems. Perform required daily
tasks. Perform OS upgrades and patch install as required. Provide 24x7
support as scheduled. Additional responsibilities and duties as
assigned. Represent the MICROSOFT/LINUX team with all internal customers
as needed. Help define system specifications and standards. Update
management of project status accordingly. Work with various technical
departments during development and implementation of new services or
changing existing architectures. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

BS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline required. Work on
problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of
identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and
techniques for obtaining solutions. Minimum five (5) years experience in
supporting production systems. Demonstrated history of providing 24x7
support. Microsoft NT 4.0, XP, and 2003 Server required. Redhat Linux
WS/ES/AS 3.0 or higher required. Microsoft IIS required. Microsoft .NET
framework required. Extensive knowledge of Web and Application Server
required. (Apache, JBOSS, and Oracle Application Server preferred).
Knowledge of Linux Clustering applications preferred. EMC Symmetrix
experience preferred. Proficient with desktop applications (Visio, MS
Word, Excel) a plus.
