SOFTWARE ENGINEER / SCIENTIFIC VISUALIZATION
Founded in 2000, Renesys Corporation provides global Internet
stability and integrity monitoring services that allow Internet-dependent
businesses to maintain secure and reliable Internet connections. Renesys
is a privately held company with offices in Manchester, NH, Hanover, NH
and Washington DC.
At Renesys, you'd work with our Global Internet Monitoring team
to develop new visualization strategies and user interface components
to make complex spatiotemporal patterns accessible and intuitive
for the enduser. You'll invent new metaphors and navigation strategies
to help our customers make connections, gain insights, solve problems, and
visually comprehend the evolving state of complex global systems.
This position is located in Manchester, NH.
Requirements:
-- Advanced computer science, applied math, or networking background
-- 3+ years experience with interactive component design and
development: Flash/Actionscript, Javascript/DHTML,
Java/Swing, or related cross-platform technology
Pluses:
-- Related publications and/or contributions to open source projects
-- Strong communications skills and graphic design sense
-- Experience with open source environments: Linux, Apache, Tomcat
-- Experience with cartography/GIS applications and/or data mining
-- Small development group management experience
