*Position Summary:*
Python developer to join Red Hat's OS development team at the 
Westford,MA location.

Primary Responsibilities:

    * Maintain python packages in RHEL and Fedora releases
    * Address issues from Red Hat customers related to python
    * Work closely with python upstream to fix bugs and improve performance
    * Plan and implement migration to Python 3.0
    * Backport fixes for security and bugfix errata in RHEL and Fedora


Required Skills & Expertise:

    * Intimate knowledge of python internals
    * Experience with C programming, specifically C-based python modules
    * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    * Good understanding of Linux system internals and systems engineering
    * An understanding of the Open Source development model
    * Familiarity with RPM packaging
    * Experience in performance testing and tuning
    * Excellent communication skills
    * Strongly Preferred: Experience with upstream Python community
    * Strongly Preferred: Experience in the Fedora community
