Our client a world wide travel website is in urgent need for a Linux
System Administrator. The Linux System Administrator will be responsible
for all the server support, troubleshooting, networking and project
work.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

+ Linux server support experience
+ Redhat, CentOS, Debian
+ Apache
+ MySQL
+ PHP, Perl
+ Cisco Routing/Switching
+ Protocol Support: BGP and OSPF


Pluses would be:

+ Bash or Python
+ LDAP
+ Zimbra
+ Storage/SAN experience 
+ Relevant degrees or certifications

The Linux System Engineer must have hands on experience with network
support with Cisco products. They will be working on a small team of
generalists that like to take technologies and run with them.

 

 

 

 

Our client, a rapidly growing internet company, is looking for a Linux
System Admin for their Billerica office. 

Job Responsibilities: 
o Day-to-day server operations and monitoring 
o Design and deploy new services and systems 
o Maintain Linux & Windows servers, running virtual machines 
o Manage user accounts, documenting systems and developing new systems 
o Maintain web application infrastructure running Apache, Nginx, MySQL,
and lighthttpd 
o Become an integral member of the operations team and help to shape the
systems infrastructure 


Qualifications: 
o 3-5 years of Linux Systems Administration 
o Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Perl, and/or PHP 
o Understanding of Apache, MySQL, Nginx, SVN 
o Strong desire to learn and implement the latest open source
technologies 
o Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing, startup environment 
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills required 
o Ability to lift 50lbs 
o US Citizen or permanent resident preferred 
o No relocation 
o Telephony experience preferred

 

 

An international apparel company is hiring for a Lead Linux Engineer to
work in their Boston Office. 

The ideal Lead Linux Engineer will have experience with the following: 

- Linux (Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu) 
- Apache or Tomcat 
- MySQL 
- Scripting (PHP, Perl, Ruby, Shell) 
- VMware (ESX or Vsphere) 
- 4-7 years experience 


Pluses would be: 

- Networking (Cisco Products) 
- Network Monitoring (Nagios) 
- SAN (EMC or iSCSI) 
- Cloud Computing (Amazon EC2) 
- Puppet
- F5 Load balancers
- Relevant degrees or certifications
