[gnhlug-jobs] Yeah... I'm lookin'.

So, hey! My entire department got the axe, and I'm looking. If you've
been a regular reader/member of GNHLUG, you've probably seen me opining
-- even correctly on occasion -- about various facets of Linux,
networking, computing, and what-have-you. I consider myself a
cloud/system admin, with a particular eye toward (shocker!) Linux. If
at ALL possible, I wish to avoid Windows. I've used Linux as my primary
OS at every job I've had since 2000 (even when that wasn't technically
supported). I for-real eat the dogfood.

My most recent job has been as senior cloud admin (Openstack) for a
telecom company in Billerica. Alas, it merged, and while I survived the
"real" layoffs, my boss -- the former CTO -- and his underlings didn't
survive the political fallout that showed up four months further along.

And, while I'm an admin, I love to automate/streamline processes. Which
means coding. I'm *not* what I consider a "programmer:" I'd love
programming to flow through my veins, but it doesn't. But I do write
code that gets the job done -- for example, I've just finished writing a
wrapper for packer.io that automates image building and provisioning, as
well as verifying we have the latest cloud image and
downloading/installing into Openstack if we don't -- all without using
the Openstack CLI tools, which kind of suck; I'm coding against the API,
generally using Ruby.

Anyway, I'm blabbing enough. If you know of any positions -- preferably
within shouting distance of 495, or northward -- that might fit, please
let me know. My resume can be found at:

If you have any questions or comments, just shoot me an e-mail, or ask
on-list, whtaever's appropriate.

Thanks!

-Ken
