One web-based package you might want to consider is NOLA
http://nola.noguska.com/main.html.
It is fully open source. The only "drawback" if you want to call it
that, is that it's written in PHP, which by many accounts is not yet
very secure. However, if you are managing the server yourself, there are
many things you can do to eliminate the published "holes" in PHP. All
you need for a client interface is a web browser, and the good thing is
that your accountant can log in from his office and print the reports
he's looking for all by himself. :)
I am in the early stages of implementing this myself, so I don't know if
it will even suit my needs, let alone yours, but take a look at it
anyway. I'd be interested to hear your comments on it.
