  That caused the generated PDF output to look better in some cases, but
anything with a "typewriter" style in LyX still looks bad.  Thanks, anyway.  
It might come in handy someday, I suspect, if I ever start playing around
with more sophisticated stuff in Lyx/PDF/LaTex/etc.  (And, besides, I
consider that Atari link to be the best URL suggested so far... ;-)
