  The parts that are not exported as data.  In this storage appliance
scenario, I would expect each node to have a single partition with a very
minimal set of operating files on it.

  Wouldn't this

	4 disks --> RAID 0 --> NBD --> AN --> RAID 0, 1, 5, or 0+1

be more flexible, and use available storage more efficiently, too?
