need help - processes and directories

Well, is a stale NFS handle a .nfs{blah} file? From what I understood,
those can indicate that a file was deleted and there was another process
in the directory so NFS creates the .nfs{blah} entry. That's the
situation I have and I'm trying to find what that process is.
