I've always seen that FOSS sites assume you already know what the product
is and can do.  FAQs usually never contain the question "WTF is this", which
one would assume is a FAQ.

A prime example is DocBook (http://www.docbook.org/).  No mention of what it is
or how to use it.  Take a look at the "what is DocBook?" section and feel your
head spin.
