Handling inbound calls while dialed-up

My understanding is that the trick here is for the modem (or whatever)
to recognize incoming call-waiting tones.  There's no IP or port
forwarding or coordination with your ISP involved.

Of course, how well your modem (or whatever) supports this feature
affects how useful it is to you.
