FINGER BIOMETRICS - BEYOND THE TECHNOLOGY:

For years, finger biometrics has been touted as a solution for
securing digital identity; the ultimate in security and convenience.

Yet for all the promise, companies implementing a variety of
authentication methods are only recently considering biometrics for
solving real business problems. Why has it taken this long to catch
on?

Today's companies are considering finger biometrics for a whole
new class of applications that focus on user authentication
management, password management, and access control. As it has with
all commercially viable methods of authentication, the market demands
that finger biometrics offers accuracy, robustness, privacy and
security. In this presentation, Imprivata will discuss the historical
barriers to widespread adoption of finger biometrics and the
characteristics required to overcome these barriers.
