Likewise, I have been a customer for about the same time and was one of
the people that worked out a deal with the BCS (Barry Porter and
Margaret Menzies were the primary). The only reason I keep it is as a
backup if my cable modem service is ever out since my wife's business is
eBay. 

They have had aggressive SPAM filtering in place for years. I have a
.forward set up, but I have not seen the MIME issues that you have. I'm
not sure what they are using as an MTA these days.
