    Did you realize that the "support" that Alex pointed you to for the
HP/Compaq iPaqs was actually for running Linux on the iPaq, not for
Linux support for the PocketPC applications on the device?  I wasn't
sure based on your response.  There's a Linux distribution for iPaqs
called 'Familiar' (http://familiar.handhelds.org).  Or, get a microdrive
and use 'Intimate' (http://intimate.handhelds.org).  Either way, you can
get an iPaq and not run Windows.  (Not that I'm suggesting you either do
or don't do that, though)
