For sites that I want to be able to converse with via email, but that
I don't want to give my real email address, I use Emailias
(http://www.emailias.com/). The way that I see it, it's too easy to
derive bob.bloggs at domainname.com from
bob.bloggs+thinkgeek at domainname.com -- and then your email address is
permanently available to the spammers. The "double-blind" system of
Emailias is very handy as well.
Disclaimer: Emailias is a for-profit operation, and was conceived of
by a friend of mine. But I'm not involved with their
operations, and I don't benefit from mentioning them here.
