DSL service questions

Hi,
I just discovered that according to both Verizon and Earthlink my
lines are eligible for DSL service. This is a very good thing IMO :)
However, not knowing a lot about DSL, I'm curious about how it works.
Currently, I have 2 phone lines in the house, one of which is used
exclusively for dial-up to Earthlink. Additionally I have a
no-longer-active leased line frame relay circuit in the house from a
previous-but-now-defunct employer.
When subscribing to DSL, do I:
- use my exising phone line obviating the need for 2 lines
- convert my dial-up line to DSL, thereby maintaing 2 lines
and therefore 2 bills
- or have them use the old FR line but get to cancel the
dial-up line?
I guess my question really boils down to "is DSL like ISDN" in the
sense that I can use one line for both simultaneously (b/d channels?)
or do I still need a second line for DSL to run over.
I'd really like to eliminate the second phone line, and ideally the
ISP. Though, I'm hesitant to ditch Earthlink, since I've never had a
problem, and the alternative is DSL directly through Verizon :(
Thanks for any insight!

It may look like I'm just sitting here doing nothing,
but I'm really actively waiting for all my problems to go away.
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
