Ayup! A couple of jobs ago the group I supported
was doing 'main-line' development. No private branches or anything.
They'd check out a view and keep files locked for months at a time.

One guy came to me 2 or 3 times because he accidently rm -rf'ed his
view, which hadn't been checked in for 3 months. We didn't back up
views, since everything should have been able to be recreated from
the VOBS :)

I was actually trying to convince him to use RCS within CC, because
to have him us CC correctly would have meant trying to change the
development style of 40+ people. And I was 'just the sysadmin'.

They no longer exist now, and it's not difficult to understand why :)

It may look like I'm just sitting here doing nothing,
but I'm really actively waiting for all my problems to go away.

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!
