I guess I'd forgotten about that. I use VmWare to run Linux on top of Win
2k. It's one way to overcome hardware limitations imposed by Windows
machines which don't work well with Linux.

VmWare is also "just" a virtual machine. You would need a Microsoft License
AND a distribution of your "favorite MS OS" to run MS-based applications on
top of it.
