[gnu/]linux fracas in may 1999

[Rodent of Unusual Size]

anyone remember the flamestorm that took place here, with rms as
a participant, over the [gnu/]linux naming thing?  i can't find
it in google any more, which makes me think that it's either
off the net, or else has the x-no-archive: yes fields set..
it was back in the gnhlug at zk3.dec.com days, istr, and i don't
find any of those anywhere..
