Yes. It becomes a big PR headache for those businesses in the Linux
marketplace. However, if the cards are played out right by the Linux
people, it could also help. 
Essentially what ESR is saying, if you read the article
(http://www.opensource.org/sco-vs-ibm.html), that SCO could even lose
its proprietary hold on its Unix code, and even expose SCO to a counter
suit by IBM and similar suits from other Unix vendors, such as Sun and
HP. 
I think the Inquirer's subtitle "A Study of self immolation" on their
article kind of summed up SCO's position.
