    Hey, now, be careful... as a West grad myself, I'd like to think I made
the
best of things.  *laugh*  And considering my former principal is now the
*mayor*... I guess anything goes in that city!
    And to tie this all back to Linux... a lot of assessment companies are
using GIS-type software (running on Linux servers, no less!) to map out
towns and lots, with a database tied in that holds all the lot information.
Unfortunately, though, pretty much all of the *client* software is for
Windows PCs, because that's what town governments are using.  And so... push
YOUR local government to use Linux!  (How's that for a tie-in, Derek?)
