Connecting OO to a remote MySQL server

Has anyone had success in getting OpenOffice 1.1.* to connect to a MySQL
database on a remote server? I've been able to connect using the MySQL
client and using DbVisualizer, but not using OO.

I've tried using the JDBC drivers org.git.mm.mysql.Driver, and
com.mysql.jdbc.Driver, but I keep getting a "No connection could be
established for the URL jdbc:mysql://server/dbname.

(Yes, I have the appropriate .jar files in my ClassPath under the OO
Security setting).

Is there a debug setting that anyone knows of for OO to see if its
actually loading those class files?

Thanks, Bruce
