The NHSTE organization is having David Trask from Maine put on a four
day workshop for technology educator and school network administrators
from February 16 through the 19th which is intended to provide
information and skills in using Linux as well as the K12LTSP package in
he school environment.

I am in the process of developing a handout which provides information
about GNHLUG and related resources for the attendees. suggestions on
this are welcome.

In addition, David Trask has indicated that having spare
systems that could be used to demonstrate install and using Linux would
be very helpful. If anyone has spare hardware such as machines that have
been used for servers or desktops which are still functional and
reasonably modern, but no longer in daily use that you would be willing
to have used for a few days, please contact me.

Here is a URL for the workshop:

Short notice, but that is how it happened. I expect there will be more
opportunities to assist NHSTE members regarding Linux in the future and
the interest appears to be there. At this point things are tenative and
at the formative stage.
