    If full GNU/Linux distros are given, they should be aimed at newbies. 
Red Hat and Mandrake are mandatory, but desktop-oriented distros are 
mandatory.  LibraNet and, especially, Lycoris, for example, shouldn't be 
overlooked.

    I might also suggest a seperate CD for just OpenOffice.  While OOo is 
included on things like TheOpenCD, I think this tends to obscure OOo; OOo 
rates something special.  It still amazes me at just how many people don't 
grok that you do not need to buy/steal MS Office.  Segregating OOo onto a 
separate CD might work to highlight it.
