Experience with UPSes on USB?

The one at Best Buy is the APC Backup ES 500 which just has USB, no serial.  I 
bought one a few months ago and just bought another one this week.  I'm using 
Apcupsd (http://www.apcupsd.com/) on FC3 and am very pleased with it.  The 
online manual was easy to following and has a detailed testing section to 
verify everything is working.
