Laptop Suggestions

There's a tradeoff between what you're willing to pay and what you  
are willing to pay to have done for you. My experience with Linux on  
laptops is that it has gotten better with each attempt at install.  
However, if you want someone else to support and service it, there  
are some good vendors out there. The vendors are really supplying  
service and not hardware, though. A glance at the Emperor Linux site  
shows they sell Dell, Sony and Lenovo. The ThinkPads caught my eye,  
as we're been very happy with them in the office for the past couple  
of years. They seem to be pretty rugged.

They had a booth at LinuxWorld Boston and the laptops were  
impressive, the folks seemed to know what they were doing.
