It's not going to work that well, and it's a lot easier to disconnect
from ssh, and re-establisht that connection. If you need state on the
remote machine maintained, use screen or vnc.
Also, I'm assuming Kenny is referring to a corporate vs. residential
environment which usually have very different rules applied.
