I was wondering about that - the remote end should be absolutely fine.
What I wonder is about the local end - when you disconnect from the VPN
then reestablish the connection the local ssh process will see the IP
address change 3 times. If it's watching or notices or cares, etc. I
think it will be OK, assuming you wind up with the same VPN IP
allocation on the reconnect (so you configure it so it works that
way...) but haven't tested yet.
