Linux-related job postings - Hopkinton NH School District

I would like to set the record straight for these open two positions in the
Hopkinton School District.

I am on the Technology staff at the Hopkinton School District. Both the IT
Director and the Network Administrator independently told me they were
leaving on same morning last week. I believe at that time neither one of
them knew about the other leaving. (I'm sure that had a very interesting
conversation later that same day!)

These two people are leaving for completely different reasons. One was
recruited by a former co-worker to work from him at a bank for a higher
salary. The other's husband just landed a new high paying job in Florida.
She is just simply leaving her current job to move to Florida to be with
him. It was just a strange quincidence that they both picked the same day to
hand in their resignation.

I don't know why Linux was mention in the ad. There are currently no UNIX
systems in the district only PCs and MACs.

I agree. But just to annoy Ben :-), there's a Debian-based rival to
K12LTSP which is in wide use in Europe (and other places).

SkoleLinux <http://www.skolelinux.org/> is oriented towards education and

is likewise a very slick implementation.

 Regards,
 .
