What I noticed most from GoDaddy was when they charged my credit card
for a domain I had let expire. It was a 1-shot throw-away domain (and
GoDaddy was cheap at the time) so I certainly wouldn't have asked for
any kind of auto-renewal, but maybe it was hidden in the small print at
the time (I don't believe it but I'll allow it).

Anyway, the point I was getting to is getting the situation rectified
was about 4 hours of e-mailing clueless salesdroids who don't
understand anything about DNS and certainly don't read customer
correspondence.

Contrast that with a call to EasyDNS where a tech picks up the phone in
the data center, or the overall nice web GUI dyndns.org offers, and I
can't see the point of ultra-cheap domain registrations. Those were 4
non-billable hours for anybody following along.
