Desire for a new kind of list?

For the record, this sounds like what a lot of Make Magazine 
(http://makezine.com/) is about, based on my discussions with people at 
the magazine. Somewhat Linux oriented, but mostly just a "hack" type 
magazine, in the old sense of the word. Not all hardware: some software 
stuff - but in general, a very "do it yourself" friendly magazine, it 
seems.
