  I think it's a damn freaking shame that we can have a 70 message
thread in which a few people endlessly debate the evils of tool
booths, but someone posting a legitimate, technical discussion feels
compelled to mark the thread "off-topic".

  *This* is why I really hate people who use this list as a captive
audience for their pet political agendas.  You push legitimate content
into the bit bucket.

  Grrrrr.
