CentraLUG meeting last night

Great meeting last night. Nine attendees participated in Open Mike  
night. We had far-ranging discussions, including:

- Debian vs. Red Hat, yum, apt-get and rpm, fast/slow, like/dislike

- Novell SuSE layoffs - concern

- OpenDocument standardized in Massachusetts, ongoing hearings and  
legislation: Empire Strikes Back, or a power struggle between  
executive and legislative branches?

- New Hampshire's state archives - shades of Indiana Jones!

- Upcoming meeting planning: inviting James Fogg for Windows-Linux  
interop, Dec 5th, not confirmed

- Upper Valley Computer Industry Association (http://www.uvcia.org)

- IFR and VFR

- Resara (http://www.resara.com/contact.php) is looking for a  
Consultant/SysAdmin

- Doug McIlroy's presentation last week (many are looking forward to  
recordings!)

- handed out copies of TheOpenCD and Red Hat's marketing DVD
