Hello all,
I am running Fedora Core 2 and when I reboot, a htt daemon starts up and
starts reading havoc with my internet connection. I have been simply killing
the thing after a reboot, but I would really like to understand what's
happening. I have asked this question to some so called Linux experts and
they say " http is the web server". After explaining that I know that, and my
question is about htt, they don't have a clue.
First of all, what's htt for? and where is it being started? I looked into the
rc. directories for a clue, but I couldn't see it listed by name. I don't
remember having this problem when I built the machine, and I can't tell you
when it started being a problem either. If anyone can shed light on this
matter I would be very thankful.
Please keep in mind that all I want to do is stop the htt daemon from starting
in the first place.
Thanks,
Paul Dussault
