I can see now this is a great list to be on. I definitely appreciate all the feedback. I like what I hear and there are definitely some pros and cons to staying here or living there (NH). For my wife and I, our priorities have changed a lot since we have got together and have kids. I have two children from a previous marriage that visit, and two in this marriage. Ultimately, we want to get away from the city to an area with good schools and closer to the climate/social atmosphere we are looking for. Of course, with IT work far and few between in small towns, we want to be close enough to a larger metropolitan area to commute to work if needed. Since I live in NW Austin and it takes me an hour in driving to SE Austin to work, I'm used to a lengthy commute. Also, we really want to get away from the heat. My wife wants to go back to New England, so she is pushing this pretty hard. She tells me all the time about everything from the scenery to cape cod and beyond. I
have to say it's definitely something to consider, I'm enjoying everything I am hearing about the area. When I was single, Austin was the place to be. With a family, my priorities are changing and I'm considering new options.
