  In all fairness, from what I can tell, the major objection I and
others have had is to a particular set of people pushing the same
political statements and arguments on this list *ad nauseum*.  It's
not even political debate, just "Here's my opinion again", over and
over.  It's easy to get caught up in (I've been guilty of it myself a
few times), but never covers any new ground.

  OTOH, IIRC, we've never had a discussion on recycling before.  The
occasional off-topic digression isn't worth stressing about.  It's
when the same off-topic digression never ends that people such as
myself get tweaked.

  On the third hand, complaining about all the complaining leads is
annoying, too.  (And yes, I'm fully aware that I'm probably the #1
complainant about complaining.  I'm gonna have to complain about
that.)
