So, to bring it back to topic, how do people go about removing data from
computers?

I have to deal with DOD stuff and there are some approved disk scrubbers.
They have to be approved so something like Darryl's Boot 'n Nuke that goes
further doesn't cut it.

Some it also depends on having a badblock scan before data touches it.
Anyone know how to do this in windows?  Smarttools can do this in Linux
pretty well...
