Fonts in Open Office question(s)

I think the correct solution is to install the Arial font.  Windows comes
with a truetype version of it.  I think I remember that there was a gnome
tool that would grab windows truetype fonts from a windows partition (if
your system was dual boot).

There were also some packages that would grab microsoft's web fonts (veranda
and trebuchet) off the web and install them on linux.

yeah, been there.  1st thing they say is "I need a copy of your resume in
word".  I always send a PDF so they know exactly how it's supposed to look.
But the resume scanners all work with word.  Some can do PDF.  And they can
do text, but all the hiring people know is word.  When you want to get
hired, it's not always good to look different.

PDF.  Send the .doc and a PDF.  Tell them it's an Acrobat PDF file.  They
may not make the connection from PDF to acrobat.
