  I've noticed that quick-and-easy solutions often end up taking a
long time and being very hard.  I keep meaning to talk to somebody

  In general, I'm pretty sure the answer is "Yes".

  Whether the "free" VMware Server product is crippled with arbitrary
limits, I have no idea.
