through the "paradigm shift" for using Linux - they don't want to expose
themselves and ask questions at a user group, they don't want to know
that there is more than one way to cut and paste. In short, learning
something new is painful, and people don't want to go through the pain
unless they're forced to.

Fortunately for Linux, people are feeling the pain.
