If I had to guess, Netflix probably doesn't really care all that much
about it, they have to make an attempt to enforce some sort of
content protection if they want to be able to deliver movies in this
manner.
I doubt that they specifically wanted to exclude any group of users,
and I'm pretty sure this isn't a matter of "just adding" Firefox
support. Your letters and emails may not help the situation, but at
least you'll feel like you did something.
