USB 2.0 CD/DVD?

I'm pretty sure that Liteon CD-ROM drives used to be made out of  
paper when I was building PC's a decade+ ago.  But when I was having  
trouble recently with a Pioneer drive (which has been my standard  
brand for a decade) I found the comments on NewEgg raving about the  
LiteOn DVD+-RW(RAM?) drive which was ~$40, so I got one and it works  
beautifully.
