I'm not aware of any support in mythtv for anything but the decoding  
being done on the viewing system, but a dead-silent HDTV-playback- 
capable system for only $500 would be REALLY NICE. :)

I'd spend more time investigating 802.11n if the systems can somehow  
handle hdtv playback, since b/g/a lack the bandwidth to reliably  
stream hdtv...
