project - VISTA, the VA's medical records system. More at:

It's good enough to win awards - Harvard's Innovations Award

It's also being used literally around the world, from VA to DoD, to
hospitals around the US, to Nigeria, Cairo (Egypt that is), Uganda,
and American Samoa.
The other thing that struck me was the history of the software
(starting back in 1977), and how they had to work to collaborate -
