  I didn't do that.  I put a bunch of clever shell syntax and filter
commands in between the two.  I try to make my fsck-up's nice and
elaborate.  ;-)

  I will say that RPM carefully ordered the uninstall of every package
on the system, so that things didn't really start to fall apart until
it was almost done.
